Looking for the perfect drink pairing to go with Taco Tuesday? Feeling a little burnt on classic margaritas? Spice things up a bit with this spicy skinny jalapeno margarita recipe! This recipe works whether you’re making one cocktail at a time, or whether you prefer to pre-mix for a party and serve out of a pitcher. It was my choice pairing during our recent trip to find the best Mexican food in Carlsbad, California. Though I’m a sucker for the frozen margaritas, this option avoids the sugar (and the resulting headaches), while proving just as refreshing!
Just be sure to use fresh limes, as opposed to bottled (this really affects the quality of the drink). To sweeten the deal, we’ve chosen honey: a natural option for this spicy, skinny margarita recipe. I also always remove the seeds from the jalapenos, or else I end up with even more spice than I bargained for.
Lastly: personally, I prefer margs served over ice. Then, garnish this classic with a slice of lime, a slice of jalapeno, and (most importantly) a salted rim. To add an extra oompfh to your presentation and really impress your guests, pick up a drinkini margarita kit on Amazon.
