The health benefits of spirulina are wondrous: it is a cyanobacteria chock full of nutrients and antioxidants. In a world where pretty much everything can be attributed back to inflammation, spirulina emerges as a smoothie star.
As usual with your blender: liquid goes in first, followed by frozen ingredients, followed by leafy greens. (The order of the additional ingredients doesn’t really matter.)
Ingredients
- 1 tsp Spirulina
- 1 scoop Vanilla Protein Powder
- 1 tbsp Almond Butter
- 1 cup Almond Milk
- 1 cup Frozen Blueberries
- Banana
Instructions
Put all ingredients in blender (first liquid, then berries, then spinach, then everything else). Blend until smooth (I use the Vitamix smoothie setting).
