The Winner: Miguel’s Carlsbad
Though we were staying in Carlsbad Village (in the Springhill Suites), we ventured inland away from the water to take a gander at the beautiful Flower Fields. While in the area, we opted to stop for a bite at Miguel’s to sample some of the best Mexican food in Carlsbad, California.
When we sat down, I was especially excited that the meal came not only with chips and salsa, but also delicious, steaming hot queso. It was the perfect follow-up to our long walk from Carlsbad Village, washed down with an ice cold Pacifico.
The Runner-Up: Señor Grubby’s
After we completed our tour of the best breweries in Carlsbad, California, we were in search of some affordable Mexican food.
Señor Grubby’s is a no-frills taco joint that is a four minute walk from the Springhill Suites.
The tacos are fresh, and the countertop service has a wide array of salsas (mild to hot) to sample.
