This laid-back, clean Marriott property is situated right in the center of the idyllic Carlsbad Village. It’s an easy walk from restaurants and Carlsbad State Beach.
The Lobby
A modern lobby with a contemporary design and friendly staff greet guests. We decided to try the Pacific Surfliner so arrived without a car, but for those that need parking, it’s $20/day.
The Roofdeck
The surprise gem of this hotel? The unassuming roof deck with spectacular views. Grab a few beers (either at the nearby 7-11 or the hotel lobby) and catch a spectacular sunset as you cozy up in front of one of the fire pits; the view from the top of the Springhill is not to be missed.
Free Breakfast
I was pleasantly surprised by the caliber of the free breakfast. At 7am, the staff was busy preparing fresh eggs and bacon. The buffer offered yogurt, juices, bagels, toast, and fresh coffee (with nondairy milks!).
