If you only have one day to spend in Glacier National Park, there are a few things that should be on your must-see list.
First up: Going over the Going-to-the-Sun Road, which is a two-lane road that takes you through the heart of the park. The road has numerous pullouts to stop and admire the views, and it’s also a great place to watch wildlife, who are often found grazing on the side of the road.
Second: Get out on foot and explore some of the hiking trails that crisscross through the park. The best way to get good photos is to bring along a telephoto lens, though you can also just use your phone if you don’t have one!
Third: Try your hand at fishing in one of the many lakes within Glacier National Park. These lakes are stocked with trout every year by Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks (MFW&P), so if you’re feeling lucky, go ahead and try your luck!
Finally: If it’s warm enough when you’re visiting (it won’t be), then be sure to go swimming in one of the many lakes within Glacier National Park!
