An inviting taqueria in the heart of Carlsbad Village, Pure Taco offers open air (dog friendly!) seating, reasonably priced drinks, and delicious tacos “with a global twist.”
I’d recommend trying out some of the non-traditional taco options, listed below:
Pure Taco’s vibe is laid-back and easy to love. You can sit at the tables near the street and carry your drinks/food from the counter, or sit at the counter and enjoy bar service (we opted for the latter).
The Drinks
We opted for the regular margarita and the skinny margarita – both delicious, and not bad for $10 and $8 a pop, respectively
The Tacos
The tacos are divine. Our favorite? The grilled mahi mahi special fish taco. It’s quite a bit pricier than the basic fish taco ($5.50 vs $1.95) but the freshness really comes through.
